From the Cavalier's Journal - Possible Last Entry.

Mon Apr 27, 2009, 10:39 AM
"There's a Man going 'round, takin' names..."

Hey, people out there.
We're in the middle of something big right now, so I opened up my IE just to check if there were any messages for me. I'm procastinating the packing (I'm about to go home). DA popped up and I really thought this was worhty of posting a new entry of my journal. I've never kept a physical one or had a blog page of sorts, so I kinda feel like this is my only shot at being heard by other people.
I get it all of you have heard of the pandemic here in Mexico, so I'll skip the details. Those of you who have not, do ya homework, kids.
Some people around here are running about like headless chickens, some of us are keeping cool and making possible courses of action, some others are just going on with their lives.
Drugstores are running out of protective masks, clothes and Vitamin capsules and tablets, as well as anti-alergenics and all kinds of preventive medication. Must be one hell of a profit they're making. Everybody's families are scared like hell, calling over and over again to check how we are and to tell us when and how to go home. Some of them are so freaing concerned they're telling their children not to go back home via bus. Some ones are saying the national roads coming from big cities are closed (yes, there are roads and big cities in here, buildings, cars, computers, starbucks coffee, you fragging know about it, and if you don't, then welcome to the real world, there ARE, thank you.). A 5.7 Richter Scale tremor just hit Mexico City about 20 minutes ago, and our heads are still spinning. Media are saying there are 2373 registered cases of influenza symptoms, of which only 173 have been classified as positivie type-A influenza. That's a lie: there are way lots of sick people around. Lots of dead people around. Deaths go beyond the thousand by now.
National and College autorities have lifted up the class periods until may the sixth for all levels of education as a preventive measure, just before I start finals (Wonder if I'm still worried about school with all this happening? Truth is I am. A lot.).
The media and the government are lying to all of us, and we cannot let that stay that way. People ought to know the truth. I've heard that in other countries you're being told this is not the Porcine Influenza Virus that's being talked about here in Mexico. You've being told the Virus is an laboratory-engineered one, and that's pretty much probably the truth. Some are speaking of an airborne compound in Mexico City. Bioterrorism, anyone?
Some of us think this is a cover-up for some deal between our govenrment and the American one. Think what you will. If this gets censored or deleted, hell, be sure I'll f*cking know it. Then there'll be no doubt.
I've also heard there are registered cases of this thing on the USA and Spain, to say the least. And I think that if this thing goes further on, it's pretty plausible that I'm not going to be able to come back to school for finals, which means... But that's beside the point.
I'm talking serious business here, people: We're probably at the brink of an unprecedented event in our time. The way you and I see everyday life may change because of this, because, personally, I don't see any end to the current situation, at least not a close one. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Many people will probably die. Maybe me. Maybe half of the people I know. Maybe more. This will probably become a mark on my generation, and if it is so, Hell, it was about time we f*cking woke up.
Me, I've stocked up on tuna fish and crackers, and I really hope I'm wrong and this will just be a bad memory in a couple years.
I'm hoping all of you get to read this, and if you do, I hope you care. I hope to keep hearing from you out there, people I know, and people I don't. You are welcome to comment about this, and I'll be truly relieved and glad if I can reply to your comments on this entry. Sorry if this is not very consistent, I'm not thinking to my full extent right now. My ideas are feeling kinda chaotic.

Scared? You should be.

Hey, boy. Just using my new DA account (the one that has nothing... so I won't be in the necessity of feeling ashamed XD) checking what you had up here. Nice artwork,- as I ever told you (only like... for 5 months xD) - and even nicer written pieces.

Why don't you upload some "class- inspired" sketches? It would be nice to see some Tia Idalia or Fidel-Plato over here. xD

So. I'll see you around next semester.

Nice indeed. Alas, I don't do much drawing now. College's got me caught up in all those nasty activities and reading.
Thanks for dropping by. It took me a while to figure out who you were. Cya around.
